Subject: Liquid fertilizer flow question

Central Wi
New to me planter. I put liquid on my Kinze using tanks and pump I got from a fellow Agtalker. Couple questions I'm not sure about. Ran water in it this afternoon in anticipation to plant tomorrow. It has flow meters and I notice the balls aren't very high up in the meters. I'm pretty sure they are Redballs. I can only get about 20 lbs of pressure with the dial all the way up. Some of the balls ride higher and visually look like more flow. Reading some old posts it sounds like all of my lines should of been the same length. I didnt do that assuming with the orifice it wasn't necessary. Also see there is a right and wrong direction the orifice goes in. Wasn't aware of that. I'm a bit unsure if my calculations are correct on the flow. Have a 4 gpm pump. Aiming for 5 gal at 5 mph through in furrow tubes. Have #43 orifice. 12 row 30" planter. My calculations are in the 17 # range. It just doesn't look right to me.
