Subject: RE: Liquid fertilizer flow question

west central ohio
I have a 16 row with totally tubular in furrow units. I am using the # 34 orifice at 20 psi for 10-34-00 at around 4.5-4.8 mph to get 5 gpa. I am using electric pumps, and have found that pressure is your enemy, and makes the pumps draw more amps. All of my lines are completely different in length, and feel i have very equal flow to all the rows, as the orifice and checks are all mounted at the row unit. hopefully this helps give you a general area to start.
