My wife (travel agent) and I have been there twice and my sister and brother-in-law go nearly annually. It is "worth" going to if only for the history. But, you will likely need to plan your trip in a "this time, that time" mode. Don't expect to do Hawaii justice in only a few days. It is a long flight so you need to plan some relaxation as well as sight seeing. If you try to plan too much in too short of window, you will miss out on "paradise". You can plan just about something for everyone as you have big city and very rural depending on where you look. Agriculture is varied. Food is good. It is the USA.
