The message I always heard was to delay application to full silking (not brown) IF you suspect that you may want to add insecticide to fungicide for CRW or Jap beetle clipping. There was a fair amount of acres applied locally w/insecticide tank-mixed w/fungicide. No damage. The message was that IF you spray fungicide well before silking, then you may be reluctant to spray again if clipping becomes borderline necessary. JDH....do you think the rep was implying potential damage by applying early? More daily discussions in this area seem to find that problem may be "regional" and now adjuvants are more suspect. Something is still amiss.
