Ed, The original post said he was going to be planting behind an anhydrous toolbar applying nh3 then a rotary harrow. Would you recommend this setup you discuss running into those conditions? Any time I have seen someone try to run a floating row cleaner behind a harrow they have not been able to truly let the row cleaner float as they would if notilling into the bean stubble. The worked surface was not firm enough to support the load the way it can in no till. In loose worked soil they end up "carrying" a floating row cleaner way out front on the lower stops or often leave a real depression even with depth bands and would have been much better off with a fixed row cleaner back close to the gage wheels.
