Subject: Re: J.D. 9550 combine?

N/E Iowa
We have about 300 acres of 30 inch row beans, and drill the other 150 to 200 acres (15 inch). Our bean averages have been around 50 to 60 bushels per acre. On a "good" year 65 or so. Our corn yields run 175 to 180 average, yes we run some 200 plus corn, and we have some poor ground that struggles to make 140 per acre!! Didn't know if we really need a full finger auger?? Every one I've talked to love them, but I don't know if they have row beans or drilled beans... Thanks for all the info..

The J.D. salesman says that the nice thing about the 9550 is the cab features, lighting, and greasing the combine is easier, Just don't know if it's "all" that much better than a 9510???? and of course there (9550) are about $20,000 more than a good clean 9510.. Tough call.................
