| If you think M having a strangle hold on most cotton genetics isn't scary ,then I've got a bridge for you.Monsanto has taken EXTREME advantage of Ga. cotton farmers by charging us more tech. fees than ,possibly,anywhere in the country. If Texas doesn't make 150 lbs they don't have to pay the fee. Monsanto says that they price tech fees according to value, but with stinkbug sprays being made the value isn't what it was in1996. Be sure that when monsanto gets the lions share of the cotton market the will really stick it to us. My hope and prayer is that someone in Washington will have the commom sense to stop it. If you think consolidation is a good thing just look at big oil. It has made them rich,wait that's price goughing,monsanto is in that buisness too!!! Will in GA. | |
