The early planted corn has much better ears. The late planted has banana ears ( not filled out on the bottom ) from too much heat shortly after pollination. The really early corn ( before Easter) doesn't look to have as many rows around. 12-14 vs. 16-18 on corn planted the last of April. We recieved a 3" rain around July 12 that really helped the corn in our small area. Looks to be one of the 2 best crops ever in our area. The early and late beans both look excellent except for a scattered field of SDS here and there.
