In my area (ECIL) the early planted corn has looked better all season until recently where the later planted corn appears to have caught up. Certainly some of the late may planted corn doesn't have the ears the earlier corn does, but it doesn't look near as different as it did earlier - rains and good weather have a way of equalizing things.
Doesn't look like the early bird gets the worm this year.
