Time to show my ignorance again........
My dealer claims nh3 is a more "useable" fert. than 28%. Also claims less leaching, saying you can put AA on in fall once soil temps get below 55* F, and it will just sit there until soil warms up and turns it into nh4, when it will either be used by the plant or begin to leach away.
Saw a post on here concerning no-til: My dealer says "most" of the time the knife will get the AA deep enough by itself, but he also has bars available with coulters on them to help get down to grade, if need be. I think I also remember him telling me that as long as AA is less than 2.5 of the price of 28%,it it's the better buy.
Pretty much sums up my knowledge or lack thereof on AA. I do know this--------sure makes the corn look nice!
