There is a person at the michigan research station that did trials on planting into rye, It was organic planting rearch. there is articles publish on the internat by him, or he doesnt mind people calling him to discuss this. I think he felt that drilling with a no till drill would kill rye as good as a roller. his name is I think munch, if you need his number, let me know, and also let us know what he thinks.
