Subject: RE:Coal for alternative fuel processing

Somerville, Indiana
Have anyone else seen the budjeted cost of spot coal being $165/ton?..Where have I been?...last time I looked it as 29 to 45 depending where the lie came from...I do know one thing, they are expanding coal operations and NG drilling to the exponent of at least 100 in these parts...Glad to see the NG wells drilled, not sure about $5/acre for a 3 years lease, money all paid up front...Downside is they have your minerals except coal tied up for ever long as they drill a producer that horizontla towards your place, close enough for you to collect that mighty large sum of $17/year for your participation which consists of letting them drill when and where ever they please long as they are producing oil from your place.

I told them come back when they get close to $20/acre/year...That is not unreasonable...Gas wells in Texas leased for $6000 an acre back in the early 70s...Learned there is a side benefit from sitting in a cold dog house just listening to the brass talk.
