Bonanza, Or | I have a list of problems with that article, but here are a couple. I find it very hard to believe that only 17% of the alfalfa is sprayed......if that was the case there would be an unlimited supply of weedy, I mean organic hay. Could it be that there is a shortage of organic hay because it takes a dairy 1 yr at most to become organic but it takes 3 yrs to certify hay ground? Just watch happens in the next 3 to 5 yrs with all the hay ground that is in transition to become organic. It will no longer be name your price for the hay but instead will be more of a buyers market. I think RR alfalfa has some potential problems but the good side to me outweighs the potential bad and I like farming with 2006 technology.
