The sockets you ordered for mate n lock connectors. The correct ampseal pins are A106370-ND for 16 to 20 ga wire.
Ampseal is strictly wire to PCB style.
If you want wire to wire with one end free and the other panel mount look at AMP CPC connectors. They do make a version that is water resistant. Or look at the circular Deutsch connectors. Can get them on Amazon as well.
