Franklinton, LA | Apparently the salt water sheep head and fresh water sheep head fish are completely different animals. The salt water sheep head that I am familiar with have some big teeth for cracking oyster shells and barnacles. I have cut out fillets with an electric knife. The filets are small, but the white meat is very tasty.
We also have salt water red and black drum that are different from the fresh water drum. The salt water type are fun to catch and they are really good to eat. The 3 fish in the lower right are black drum. The others are red fish or red drum.
