western NY | My sister was diagnosed with it at 18 and had a section of her intestines out a few years later. She was on many different medication the rest of her life and many flare ups. She had to have another section removed at 58 years old, the section had a very aggressive cancer in the bad spot, she had one more surgery as the cancer had spread. She passed away at 59 years old in 2020. Crohn's Disease is bad deal, you really have to watch your diet and any stress in your life can cause a flare up and find a good doctor that his specialty is Crohn's. | |
