Have a friend who had CROHN' s for many years. Or so he was told. Doctors treated him, based on a test over 20 ago.
Went to a new physician, had another, newer style test, discovered he had another , very similar, problem. They started treating the newer disease, 2 months later ---no problems. He was much better.
