Dang, all I have to do is live until 2099 and it'll be practically overhead.

But ya, be prepared. I was at the one in 17. It wasn't a "nothing event". Unless it's a total weather washout, traffic will be insane. The weather was iffy in Tennessee last time and clouds blocked the view for a good number of people right about the time of totality. We got lucky where we were and it stayed visible for the entire time of totality. Luck of the draw, but they didn't let the weather forecast stop them from being there on the chance that they'd see it. This one being so close on the heels of the last one, I dare say most who saw it last time will be there again and will bring their friends. It's gonna be a madhouse. Anybody who thinks otherwise, I dare them to go play in traffic that day. My big fear is that it won't hit me like the last one did and I'll feel a little let down, but I know an astronomer who's been to a few of them around the world, and he said everyone felt euphoric to him.
