Southern Indiana | You need to let it run much longer than 15 seconds. You won’t burn anything up. Make sure you have all the rubbers in the couplings on the suction side or you won’t do anything. At that depth it may take running the pump 5-10 minutes to get it to prime. I’ve run trash pumps dry for hours and no harm done. If you are using a discharge hose fold the hose over so it pinches or shove your hand against the outlet pipe and this will help keep your prime in place. | |
