No the intake hose is 15' but I tried it at various depths to see if it made a difference. Water is very shallow maybe 18" below the top. I watched a video on YouTube a guy pumping out an inground pool and he just primed it, put the cap on and water was gushing out. Had no idea these were so troublesome to get them to flow.
