Subject: Building a garage suggestions

Remodeling house and may add an attached garage. Garage will also eventually house my office, but just looking for suggestions on the garage area. Two car garage will be 30 foot long. With budget restraints in mind, how wide does it need to be to be comfortable? We have a separate detached garage a little further away and the farm shop for tools, toys, etc. What kind of door? I was thinking a single 20 foot door. Would 18 ft be adequate? Would two single doors be better? I was thinking one wide door to avoid the temptation of piling crap between two single doors. Have plans for a floor drain between the vehicles and hopefully heated floors. any other suggestions? Want to make it as narrow as possible for budget reasons , but not so narrow as to regret it for 30 years if that makes sense. Guess I'm looking for the minimum comfort level.

Thanks,
Brandon
