NW Washington | My mother used to stuff the heart and bake when I was a kid. Just looking at that heart on the platter was enough for me, so that was always a meatless meal for me. Liver is fine, but please, no heart.
My grandparents used to butcher their own hogs and steers and darn near eat every thing. Brains, kidney, heart, tongue, cow tail, head cheese, scrapple, the whole works. A fellow had to be careful when invited at grandma's. | |
