| We can always go on the no-till fields a few days earlier than the conventional fields. If you have fields you are really determined to keep long term no-till, save them for last. In 2004 it looked like we had trenched most of our fields. Literally 8 inch ruts, some places you had to back up and hit it twice, from one end to the other. This was on a 1480 with 30.5s. The only thing we could do was disc em in, hit it with a field cultivator to help level it, and continue on. Don't get so hung up on being no-till that you don't get your crop out. | |
