Our DMI ripper does almost zero surface soil disturbance and the harrow only works the top half inch or so and even then it's only about 40% disturbed. It's not true no-till but true no-till doesn't exist anyway. Even after running our ripper and harrow either of our planters will disturb more residue than the two tillage trips and the most they have is row cleaners and single disk fertilizer openers.
