Subject: I'm surprised no one has brought up that 4 letter word....



FRAM, the F word of filters!!!!!! I see they were $2.79 on sale last week at Pamida. Gotta admit I kinda like that little black grippy stuff they put on the end now. Makes a nice clean new filter or a hot slippery old filter easier to hang on to.

I know Fram gets a bad rap on here and other sites, perhaps justifiably so, but I still use 'em if that's where I'm at and need a filter.

Dad always used Harvest King brand filters from the farm store. Haven't seen 'em for years, don't know who made 'em. Got 50+ yr old tractors that outlasted him and will probably outlast me.

My advice: change your oil and filter regularly. Use whatever makes you happy.
