SW KS, near Dodge City | My uncle farms near Hereford, TX and they seemed to have crews come through quite regularly. I'll ask him if he still uses them and if the crews are still available. I was guessing that you might have some issues finding them in IA. I'll see what I can dig up.

And yes, the transient crews do a very good job. I agree about the working part. After I spent a Saturday afternoon hoeing and trying to clean up a milo field to make it look better I decided that those pigweeds weren't at the "economic" threshold yet:) Roguing isn't bad if you've got a crew, but it sure doesn't seem like you get anything done with 1 person. | |
