| Good you mentioned how the field was tilled etc-- past history. Do you use starter fertilizer? Our past experience using liquid fertilizer on the planter was that there was an intermitant flow. At times the plants were getting fertilizer and at times, for a short distance they were not. We re--routed some of the lines and the problem disappeared. Also those subtle changes in soil type show up in a year like this, but difficult to see looking at the soil while tilling, scouting etc. We do see that happening here at Mexico as well. Just more of it this year because of the weather. Not much tile here either, so I would not suspect that to be the cause. | |
