We often times combine beans with very green stems. As long as the average moisture is 12% or less if you're putting them on air or hauling them to town it doesn't matter what the plants are like. Green pods are really the only thing that can cause any problems in storage. If you are only getting the occasional green pod and you are hauling them to town don't worry about it. Never have understood why some felt the need to kill soybeans and add more cost on. Maybe in some locations you absolutely must, but doubtful for most.
