It will definitely spike your insulin and blood sugar. It was one of the worst for me as far as foods go.

Skimmed milk is the very worst. Low fat the next worst. Full fat milk is the best of the bunch (because the fat in it slows down the lactose absorpiton) but is still bad.

The fat is the good part of the milk as far as insulin spike goes. Heavy cream will only give a minor insulin response. It does have some because there are still milk contained in like 40% fat heavy creme. Gee is all fat and does not affect insulin. Real butter is mostly fat and has very little effect on insulin.

But wait, not a diabetic? So insulin should not matterr, right? Wrong. Insulin is a fat storage and growth hormone. When insulin levels are high it is impossible to burn body fat. So if you want to gain fat, spike your insulin. Once insulin is high, doesn't matter what you eat, carbs or fat, and it is mostly going to go to stored body fat once the body's energy needs are met. Insulin levels have to be low to burn body fat and get rid of body fat. Full stop.

Drinking milk is going to spike insulin. Sorry. High insulin is not conductive to losing body fat.

Not saying you can not absolutely drink milk and lose weght. If you manage to keep insulin low the rest of the day you may still be able to meet your goals. But milk is not going to be helpful.

Whole milk is the perfect recipe for weight gain. Sugar and fat together. It is what makes babies grow and get the fat layer they need. Most of us adults do not need that kind of growth.
