Pittsburg, Kansas | Probably not. Unless she is familiar with and embraces the low carb ketogenic way to improve health and maintain a healthy weight. And she would have learned nothing about it in medical school. She would have came to that knowledge by self study.
If you want to know about your metabolic health, at your annual blood test request two additional tests beyond the standard lipid panel.
1. HbA1c hemoglobin test
2. Fasting insulin assay.
Those two will tell the tale if you are metabolically healthy. Should be around 5 to 5.5 on the first one. In single digits on the second one.
If you are 6 or above on the first one or 15 or 25 or higher on the second, you are headed for serious trouble at some future time.
