I'm not sure on correct answer.

I would guess if you have 20 replies here, you'll get 21 different answers. One always has to keep in mind that if choose to not provide a free or reduced rate service, someone else might. If you have a farm mgt service in your area (bank, lending institution, etc) you might check with them & ask what is common for their clientele. Again, not saying they're correct, but it will give you more answers to help solve the problem.

Finally, I will say that most 50/50 shares I know of call for farmer to provide labor & machinery. Local delivery is common. Problem is...what's local & what's common? Might be parts of the country where 20 miles won't even get to an elevator. You might also have an elevator within 5 miles that's antiquated in non-competitive in bids.
