In a lot of cases, I think an app or online portal can take the place of a sales person. I also think the coops and companies that will be around in 30yrs are the ones who push into that area now.

I personally would prefer some kind of app. Chemicals and fertilizers are just products, so just be transparent and let me see the cost and availability so I can make a quick decision. If I want/need a service of some kind, that can be requested and charged separately. Not much different than ordering on Amazon.

As for turnover, who knows the reasons. Plenty of blame to go around. But it's for certain, as a culture, that we've discounted loyalty, longevity, and acquired expertise long enough that we're seeing the results of that mindset.
