Subject: RE: Early planting beans in the south?

NW IL, Mercer County
Soils were warm and it was fit to run. One of my reasons was the timber soils that typically dont get planted till mid-May on an average year were fit. I figured if I planted April 11 and ended up having to replant, I would be replanting at the usual planting date. So I figured I really wasnt out much by giving it a shot. I didnt plant a whole bunch but enough. It seemed to pay off compared to historical field averages but our beans were better than usual all the way across the board.
