That's the thing, my neighbors on each side of me are actually buddies my age that I graduated with and farm around 4k acres each and have assured me they aren't signing. So between the 3 of us, there wouldn't be many turbines close to me. The father of one of these buddies actually has 2 turbines on a farm 10 miles south and said he would never do it again. He has water stand in places that never did and has had to go down and clean up the messes they've left more than once.
don't count on the neighbors not doing something they say they won't when it comes down to the money they can get with one signature, then you'll get to hear their sob story while you are surrounded by their windmills they are cashing the checks on and you aren't. Money makes people do some funny things and compromises their decision making skills. |
