| Need a little more context before passing judgement. My hydraulic guy would have charged me the $30 total like you were originally planning to pay. However, we have done business for several years now and he knows I’ll be back with a cylinder that needs welded or machined and he can make back the lost labor in the long run. I’m guessing Joe Blow that’s just passing through on a construction job would probably get charged the labor for putting together a seal kit. Do you do quite a bit of business with this hydraulic shop? If so, I wouldn’t hesitate to mention that fact and let them know how you feel about the new labor charges. If you don’t frequent their establishment often why should they lose money putting kits together for everyone that walks through the door? | |
