Colby, KS
I have 2 kids under 3, so still have fresh memories.

My best advice:
1) Take some snacks! If she's in labor forever, a Mountain Dew and chips from the vending machine just doesn't cut it!
2) Be mentally prepared for a c-section. On baby #1, wife labored for 18 hours only to end up in a c-section. That's a whole different deal, but she'll need you to to be even stronger if she ends up in one, so you gotta be mentally prepared. Their spinal anesthetics didn't work on out Baby #1 and they had to knock my wife clear out. Worst site I've ever seen was her laying on the table under general. But baby and mom were/are just fine. Baby #2 went much better!
3) As odd as it sounds: enjoy the time in the hospital! On both of ours, the baby was all sleepy and easy while in the hospital. Real life starts when you get home. Enjoy the first few sleepy days.

Congrats to you and your wife and I'll be praying mom and baby do great!
