SC Wisconsin | They figure it out sooner or later... Like a lot of people said, our (now) 2 year old liked to get up at night too. Obviously, you have the regular feedings during the night but those slowly go away.
What worked for us is checking on him, making sure he was dry/warm/fed. If he was just awake for no reason, we left the room and turned out all the lights again. I won't kid you, there were nights where we listened to him cry and mess around for hours it seemed. It was a lot harder on my wife than me to lie there and listen, mommy hormones and all. In the end though, it worked.
My SIL just had a baby on the 19th, she's going through this all now too. They are good times, when you look back at them. | |
