SW Iowa | My dad farmed, and mom stayed home, so when the baby (my brother, sister, and I) were awake, they worked. When the baby slept so did mom at least. The neighbors never could understand how dad got to the field so early in the morning!!
It will work out eventually. Our middle child was colicy for a period of time and she did not sleep except on my chest, and the only way to get her to sleep was make laps around the living room. After 5 days of this, I about killed the Doctor when he said she would grow out of it, usually within 6 months!!! I was working days as a field mechanic, and my wife stayed home with little sleep at night. We used a little peppermint water in a bottle and changed formulas around until her belly felt better. Now she is the best sleeper around here, and was the easist of the 3 to put to bed now.
