Coon Rapids,Iowa
I’m 72 and I also am not as sharp as I used to be. I still run machinery and tag calves in the Spring. (I know, I know. But a Polaris Ranger sure helps.)
I told my son that if he thinks that I am not capable of doing things, that I want him to tell me and I will gladly step aside. We have a very good relationship and have many conversations about the future. I know not everyone wants to admit it, but there comes a time when we need to step aside.
I’m very lucky that I am still in good health, but I know it’s not going to last forever and I want to make sure that he is aware of it and so am I.
