| I agree with JD4230’s original post. I feel like a lot of technology is eliminating the human element. I haven’t adapted to technology very well. We have auto steer on one tractor and no one here likes it, feels like more time is spent messing with it than just steering the tractor. I hope I can still drive and steer a tractor when I’m older.
Another place that I see humans replaced is in store check out lanes. Most of the stores local to us have self check out lanes. My grandmother was a grocery store cashier for 42 years. She wasn’t alive when self checkout came about. I can’t help but think when I go in the store she spent 32 years at and that she dedicated her working career to ringing peoples groceries up and now she has been totally replaced my a machine! | |
