South Central Kansas | I think large changes to current laws are of more concern then automation. I think we put way too much stock into seat time equals farming, when our time really needs to be spent in better places. And I'm guilty of its as well, I love running equipment. But there's too many times I have to make that choice of either sit in a tractor, or get other work done. Really we need to be better managers of our farms, and automation could be a useful tool for it. I can do better work at maintaining equipment, scouting fields, taking care of cattle. And I do think most everything is demand driven anyway. There's plenty of "nice to haves" that don't make it big because there's no market. Necessity is the mother of invention. | |
