Subject: RE: My observations...just wondering

Chebanse, IL.....

M, I've often wondered, how is it the responsibility of fert dealers to supply applicators in this day & age?

I'm guessing that you don't supply many of your seed customers w/planting devices? Or-am I wrong? Of course once-upon-a-time, seed dealers brought us plates (steel-then plastic) w/seed deliveries, but that's history now.

I realize supplying NH3 equipment is commonly done & presumed, just not sure why. I also hear everyone bitch about "provided equipment" quality. You're right about equipment needing maintenance. That does take time & $$. It's one of those things that makes full-time farming exactly that.

I agree-breathing ammonia isn't fun....but breathing pig-shxx isn't much better if you're not around it constantly. I believe they both have the same end result to humans if breathed in a totally confined space. NH3 doesn't seem to stay in your clothing so long though.
