Subject: RE: a less negative view of vegetable oils

Pittsburg, Kansas
Wife and I quit all vegetable oils 5 years ago. Got them out of the house including salad dressing and such.

We still get a splash accidentally when eating out if the restaurant uses it on the grill or something frying meat. But i do not worry about those small incidental amounts. I am a believer in the "dose makes the poison" way of thinking.

Most of our fat comes with the meat as you say. We also get a fair amount from dairy in the form of cheese, heavy cream and butter.

If we have mayo my wife makes home made with bacon grease. Mayo or Miracle Whip is loaded with soybean oil. So none in our fridge. We use mustard quite a bit.
