Pittsburg, Kansas | Whole food vegan is probably an improvement over the standard American diet loaded with highly processed junk food. One of the main benefits of a ketogenic diet, is because of its low carb requirements, automatically excludes most if not all processed junk food. A whole foods vegan will do the same. A not so selective vegan not so much.
The problem they would have mostly is getting enough essential amino acids. They need to supplement those to stay healthy according to the doctors I follow. Pescatarians eating sea food do better.
Meat based protein with the attached fat has the essential amino acids needed for good health. Eggs are good too.
