Central SD | Good question. Not sure how many heifers out of the 2023 will actually get bred. The number of cattle people willing and able to calve out heifers seems to be the more limiting factor for our domestic herd anyway. As far as imports go I don’t trust our government. It’s an election year and they want cheap food in the grocery store so all bets are off. I was at a local bull sale yesterday and the heifer safe bulls were not in demand. | |
