E ND | Really depends what the agreement was, most shops need to open a workorder for a technician to bill time to when on the clock, whether they're inspecting for a quote or fixing something. Customer was ordering parts, sounds like the remainder of the work was schedule TBD so shops don't like to leave workorders open indefinitely. Close the first workorder for the first visit and reopen another and schedule when it works for both parties. Not really uncommon especially when the shop isn't in the driver's seat on parts ordering, scheduling, etc. | |
