sw Nebraska | I guess the part that bothers me if I understand correctly is he didn't really fix anything, no quote was completed and had made no communication as to when he would return. You were not attempting to take work away from him, and his diagnosese might have not have been correct. It would be odd for the dealerships or independants I work with to bill me until the job had some sort of resolution. Some of the independant shops or independant techs have actually asked me to source parts for them if another brand or they didn't have good connections so I don't really find that unusual. I won't tell you what to do. I am lucky to have some great shops to take care of me, even if I wince a bit when I get the bill sometimes but stuff gets fixed and I am rolling and ultimately satisfied.
