And I emphasize the Here. with our calcium levels we are looking at 90% to 95% calcium with the rest looking for a place to stand. In truth our CEC is so high there is always room for more cation's.

It is just that with 6,000 to 9,000 (& some times more) PPM Calcium it is not economical to apply enough of the other cations to reach the clasic balance. We apply enough to have the plants tissue analysis to be in a reasonable DRIS balance.

I will let the liming country people do the figures, but some time ago someone figured this soil has the equivalent of 154 TONS of Ag Lime/A in the top 6 feet of soil. Go much deeper and it is a solid soft lime rock.
