Coldwater, Michigan | Couple of thoughts: is your underlying "limestone" high in Magnesium? Gypsum might be a temporary fix, but not permanent with those exchange rates. Once you apply potash the exchange rates for Calcium and Magnesium will lower percent wise. The exchange rates, not the total amounts.
I know what your soil test says for Zinc. With that high of pH Zinc could very well be short, at least temporarily. If you had adverse weather about the time you were seeing the yellowing, you could be looking at: sulfur, zinc, nitrogen, or Magnesium shortage. Obviusly, you probably weren't short of Mg, but the other 3 do also show yellowing, if short. When you sidedressed it got better. Still, if you had a tissue test you would tend to know more about what was short. I would almost bet on sulfur or Zinc.
