Good point, I might be missing something because of the very high (and unusual for our farms) Mg soil tests in all of the stunted and yellow corn areas we sampled on that farm. I'm not sure what's going on but I am (almost) certain that P test level in the unusually high Mg test areas is way too low for healthy corn at that stage. We intend to collect corn yield maps for that farm this year, then VRT P&K next year based on those yield maps and the theory that low yield is primarily caused by very low nutrient availability in early development stages. Not certain the excessive Mg is causing low nutrient availability, long term solution is not sought, that farm will be growing houses in a few years and we are not running research operations
